I'm employed, and it's not a good thing.
Somehow I've got very little job satisfaction, probably because I know it's not what I want. However, everyone has got some circumstances, which is under the "BO BIAN" act, that he/she is left with no choice, but to carry out that action.
I've got no engineering background, and things are looking very tough for me.
Still, I realized one thing, that the services sector is always the best in terms of ROI. Services is something, which I believe is "priceless" on its own. The consumer determines whether the price is worth paying. Take a tax consultant for example; the consultant saves $1m in taxes for a company, even if he charges 30% on the savings, the company would still find that a price worth paying, cause it resulted in the firm paying 70% less in taxes. But on the other hand, a person selling a product worth 10K, how much can he make out of it? even if he makes 50% out of it, someone else would be able to offer a substitutable product at maybe 12K, and there goes the business. Therefore in conclusion, as long as you are in the services sector, you're in for the big bucks.
This boils down to myself, I'm currently working on an FX-modeled product, which is automated. Can I succeed in creating positive returns which would beat the general S&P500 performance? If I can do it, definitely I'm into the big bucks.
So sick and tired of the job, even though I'm just 1 month into it.
I love the days which I spent with my love, and of course not forgetting the Jurong people. Oei all of you should move to the east. Don't always make me travel there to get scriptures. And of course, I'm thinking after exams, every fortnightly we should go for beers. Its a good way of chilling out and to de-stress.Labels: Start Young. Think Big. Stick to It.
